Instructions
Rinse the lentils and place in a pot with the water
Boil under a lid for 30 min until they are soft
During that time you can finely chop the onion and garlic
Take a big pot and fry it in some oil until translucent, then add all the spices (except salt) and the crushed tomatoes
Stir and let it simmer for 10 min
Add the frozen spinach and boil another 10 min
Add the lentils (and all liquid), stir and add the salt
Serve the soup hot with a big piece of lemon for each serving. The lemon slice should be squeezed into the soup before eating
