Recipe: Gooey caramel oatmeal bars

Ingredients
  

  • 500 ml rolled oats
  • 250 ml wheat flour
  • 250 ml raw sugar
  • tsp baking powder
  • 75 ml golden syrup or molasses
  • 125 g butter room temperature
  • 1 egg

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  • Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl
  • Add the liquid ingredients and stir it all together
  • Take a baking sheet/pan of around 20*20 cm (8 in) and line it with parchment paper
  • Pour out the mixture evenly and then bake for 15-20 minutes
  • Let it cool a bit before you cut them in squares or bars
