Ingredients

  • 400 g red cabbage
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 apples
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 200 ml glögg mulled wine
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp salt
  • black pepper

Instructions

  • Cut the red cabbage in strips, peel and cut the onion in thin strips, and cut the apple in thin wedges
  • Heat up a big pot with the butter and fry the vegetables for a few minutes.
  • Add all remaining ingredients, bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for at least 10 min, but if you like the cabbage less crunchy then cook it longer (a tip for making it quicker is to heat the glögg in the microwave while frying the vegetables)
  • Serve hot
