A real quick dinner that is simple yet tastes more exclusive. I just love the flavor combo of browned butter, lemon & garlic with the spaghetti, and of course a real good parmesan!

Recipe: Browned butter lemon spaghetti with garlic
Ingredients
- 50 g butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 2 tbsp bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 300 g spaghetti
- salt
- black pepper
- 50 g parmesan
- basil leaves
- pine nuts
Instructions
- Heat up the butter and let it boil until reaching the nutty smell
- Boil pasta
- Heat up a skillet with the olive oil and add minced garlic and lemon zest. Saute just a little so it starts to turn golden
- Stir in bread crumbs and stir until toasted then remove from heat
- Pour the garlic mixture into the brown butter pot along with the lemon juice
- Pour browned butter mixture over the pasta (once drained) and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Toss with pine nuts (toast them quickly in a frying pan before to get a little extra taste out of it)
- Serve with basil and finely shredded parmesan
